Job Description:

As an IT Technician at Fusion Development, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for the management, troubleshooting, and optimization of our network, telephony systems, firewalls, servers, and web panels. You will work closely with other IT team members to ensure the smooth operation of all systems and provide excellent technical support to our staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Networking:

• Install, configure, and manage networking equipment, including access points, switches, and controllers.

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations.

• Implement and manage network security protocols.

Phone Systems:

• Manage and maintain phone systems, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Provide support for VoIP telephony issues and optimize system performance.

Network Firewalls:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network firewalls to ensure network security and efficiency.

• Implement firewall rules, VPNs, and other security measures as required.

Server Management:

• Manage servers, including virtualization, storage, and resource allocation.

• Monitor server health, perform backups, and ensure high availability of critical systems.

WordPress Management:

• Manage WordPress websites, including installation, configuration, updates, and plugin management.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress performance, security, and functionality.

• Collaborate with content creators and designers to optimize website performance and user experience.

Control Web Panel:

• Provide basic management and support for our control web panel, including website hosting and server management tasks.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web hosting and panel operations.

Problem-Solving:

• Identify and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and systems.

• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement preventive measures.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in IT infrastructure.

• Actively seek out opportunities to learn more about our specific infrastructure and systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing networking equipment, phone systems, and network firewalls.

• Experience with server management.

• Basic knowledge of web hosting control panels.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix issues across various systems.

• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• [Optional] Experience with WordPress management, including troubleshooting, updates, and plugin management. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus.
